The Signature Group Acquires Ott & Lee Funeral Homes
The Signature Group announced today that it has acquired Ott & Lee Funeral Homes from the Lee family. Ott & Lee consists of four funeral homes in the greater Jackson, Mississippi area, including Brandon, Morton, Forest and Richland. During its 82-year history, Ott & Lee grew to become one of the largest independent funeral home operations in the State of Mississippi.
J. Bradley Green, co-founder of The Signature Group, stated “The acquisition of Ott & Lee is an expansion into a new market for our company. It is also consistent with our goal of only partnering with the absolute best funeral homes in any market. Having the patience to only acquire elite funeral homes takes discipline and time, but as indicated by this acquisition, it is worth the wait.”
“We are very pleased that the Lee family made the decision to entrust their family business and its impeccable reputation to the Signature Group. Ott & Lee is known for serving families and their community at the highest level. Our focus on improving family service at all levels will allow us to continue to build on that reputation,” Mr. Jay D. Dodds, co-founder of The Signature Group, added. Hugh Strebeck, General Manager and an owner of Ott and Lee, stated, “When evaluating our available options, the decision to partner with the Signature Group was obvious. They are a privately held company with the same focus on operations and serving families as Ott & Lee. As a group, we are extremely excited about this new chapter.”
The Signature Group provides independent owners the opportunity to join a company founded by two individuals with proven track records whose operational goal is to build a long-lasting organization that remains independent.
