Cremation Association of North America: We Listen to You

As a flexible and focused association devoted to “All Things Cremation,” CANA prides itself on deploying our expertise to stay responsive to your needs. We design our services and programs with an eye to helping you build and manage your business, and this includes our 98th Annual Cremation Innovation Convention at the Chicago Downtown Marriott Magnificent Mile, August 10-12, 2016. CANA events are noted for their lineup of contemporary, relevant topics and creative and innovative presenters. When it comes to education, we want to meet you where you need us most.

KEYNOTE

The death care industry has certainly seen its share of seismic shifts, no doubt directly impacting the way you do business over the past few years. That’s why we’ve invited James Feldman to talk to convention attendees about how Shift Happens© and you can manage it or let it manage you. Feldman illustrates how to reclaim control and start using change to your advantage immediately. He’ll tell you how to break free of the past, boost your energy and impact the future.

PRE-COVENTION CELEBRANT TRAINING

As the range of memorialization choices continues to evolve and expand, you’ll want to be perfectly positioned to provide the options and services that consumers are increasingly demanding to honor the people they love. On August 8-10, In-Sight Celebrant Trainer Glenda Stansbury will be joining us in Chicago just before the convention starts to lead you through an immersive two-and-a-half-day workshop. You’ll find she is the ideal guide to prepare you to excel at this special art.

UPDATED CREMATORY OPERATIONS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM (CANA COCP™) OFFERED WEDNESDAY AUGUST 10

Some say, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it,” but we beg to differ. Fine-tuning a crematory operations class—just like maintaining a smooth and efficient crematory operation—is essential to its success. CANA’s COCP has been acclaimed across North America for it’s comprehensive and engaging curriculum, but there’s no reason for us to stop there. CANA’s Education Committee and the experts who contribute to the certification program are passionately committed to delivering a lively, informative, and productive program. This means we constantly survey our COCP participants and respond to their suggestions to make sure our training is the best it can be.
