Trigard opens doors to community for one day event

Danville, Illinois – On the morning of October 17, Trigard took hundreds of local residents on an educational tour of their manufacturing facility as part of a community wide event. During the tour, Trigard was one of four major manufacturers in Vermilion County, Illinois, to open their doors for a special, one day look at how their facilities are operated, what technology they use to create their products and information on immediate job openings.

Trigard gave participants a behind-the-scenes education on how a burial vault is made. They saw everything from extruding the polymer sheets to thermoforming the liners to filling them with concrete.

This rare exposure gave Trigard the opportunity to reach families in a different way. Rich Darby explains, “As a manufacturer, we don’t usually reach out to families directly. This community event allowed us to show participant’s first-hand how a burial vault is created and explain how important they are to keeping their loved one safe after burial.”
