Batesville Welcomes Funeral Professionals to National Convention in Indiana

Company offers unique line-up of new products, education and networking opportunities

BATESVILLE, IN., October 13, 2015 – Batesville, the leading provider of comprehensive solutions to the death care industry, is welcoming funeral professionals from across the country and around the world to its home state of Indiana for the 2015 National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) International Convention & Expo, October 18 – 21, 2015, in Indianapolis, IN.

Nearly 120 years after the company was founded in southeastern Indiana, Batesville Casket Company – now just Batesville – still calls the town that shares its name home. “Indiana has been called the ‘casket capital of the country,’ and this is a really exciting opportunity for funeral professionals to experience a small part of what makes our state so great,” said Chris Trainor, president of Batesville.

A gold sponsor of this year’s convention, Batesville is offering a unique experience for funeral professionals, with special events, speakers and guests throughout the week – in its booth and at the company’s headquarters.

“Funeral professionals have the difficult job of guiding families through an emotional journey, with special needs and challenges at every turn,” said Trainor. “By listening to customers, we’ve developed a deeper understanding of the nuances of a family’s journey and tailored solutions to support them every step of the way.”

Batesville experts will demonstrate a variety of solutions that follow a family’s funeral planning process, from before there is a need to after the service is complete. Conference attendees will have a chance to walk through the entire journey, which includes solutions for:

  • The home – using technology to reach families before the first call
  • The arrangement office – providing simple tools to guide the selection and planning process
  • The selection room – simplifying product selection through education and visual reinforcement
  • The visitation – finding meaningful ways to honor each personal journey
  • The back office – solving the common challenges of managing your funeral home

Education and learning are an important element of the national convention. Batesville is a co-sponsor of all NFDA educational workshops, and is also offering a number of opportunities for attendees to learn about key industry topics from recognized experts and network with some of their peers.
