Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory Chooses DISRUPT Media

Funeral home selects social media agency to expand company brand

DISRUPT Media has been selected by Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory to coordinate its social media program. Using their proprietary FUNERAL Social Design Process, DISRUPT Media is helping Ferdinand use social media platforms to engage more fully with families in the South Florida market.

“Our funeral home had been planning to embrace social media for quite some time and in search of a company that was sensitive to the topic of funerals and grieving”, stated Teri Vila-Caballero, Pre-Need Director at Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory. “DISRUPT Media has demonstrated this sensitivity and has provided engaging and educational content without being intrusive.

The first Caballero Funeral Home opened in Cuba in 1857. Now, the four-generation long tradition continues with Fernando Caballero and Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory.   Upholding this proud family tradition, the entire staff at Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory provides dignified quality services with a personalized touch to Miami-area families in their time of need.

“The entire team at DISRUPT Media is honored to have the opportunity to work with Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory,” said Ryan Thogmartin, President and CEO of DISRUPT Media. “As technology rapidly advances, the behaviors and expectations of families related to funerals are changing just as fast. Social media has proven to be one of the most effective channels to reach and influence these consumers.”

It has been the goal of the funeral home to assist families in planning every detail of the chosen funeral services, whether families prefer a burial, cremation or memorial ceremony.  Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory is the only funeral home in Miami-Dade County to be certified by the Department of Homeland Security, allowing them to complete worldwide repatriation services to those families who want to transport their loved ones back to their homeland for final rest.

“We have several objectives for our social media program,” Vila-Caballero went on to say. “We plan to connect with families to familiarize them with our legacy, the many options available for honoring life and the personalized services we offer. We hope to educate consumers on the end of life decisions and the ways to honor their loved ones, all the while delivering these messages in a compassionate way.”
