Media, PA—On September 1, 2015, ASD – Answering Service for Directors, the only funeral exclusive answering service, introduced a new Enterprise Text Message System to enhance communication between ASD and on-call directors. This option allows the company to automatically dispatch text messages to clients more rapidly.

In the past, ASD utilized high-speed modems to send text messages to clients. However, this system is being phased out due to speed limitations and restrictions imposed by cellular carriers. Going forward, ASD will use an Enterprise Texting Solution Provider to send text messages to clients. This provider has an extensive track record and works with many Fortune 500 companies.

ASD anticipates this new solution will make communication between ASD and funeral directors more seamless. ASD clients already receive push notifications from the ASD Mobile app at the fastest rate available. The company’s new text message solution ensures the same high speed of delivery for text messages. Depending upon their cellular carrier, this enhancement also ensures clients will now see text messages from ASD as a single message rather than receiving multiple texts.

All outgoing text messages from ASD will now come from a single 5-digit short code. This makes it simpler for directors to keep messages organized and to recognize incoming texts from ASD. Clients must simply opt-in to the new Enterprise Text Message System by responding to an invitation from ASD.

“On an average day, ASD sends and receives roughly 10,000 text messages,” says ASD Vice President, Kevin Czachor. “By working with an Enterprise Texting Provider, ASD now has increased bandwidth and can send more messages simultaneously. This solution also makes it easier for our clients to distinguish our texts from other incoming messages, streamlining communication between ASD and on-call directors.”
