Passages Launches Memorial Tree Program
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (March 2015) – Passages International, leaders in environmentally-friendly and green funeral products, is pleased to announce the beginning of The Natural Choice® Memorial Tree Program launched in honor of the 45th annual Earth Day. Every April, Passages takes one more step toward good environmental stewardship and doing their part for conservation. This year, they decided to partner with a nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees and are offering a free starter tree with the sale of any of their adult caskets.
Every casket shipped after April 1st, 2015 will include a numbered certificate offered to families by their funeral director. The family can then access an online order form and a live tree will be shipped directly to the address entered by the family within 4 – 6 weeks.
“We hope each casket sale will add another tree to the landscape,” says Passages president Darren Crouch. “We recently announced the launch of the Memorial Tree Program to our customer base and the response was impressive. We already have several customers that want to partner with us to provide a free tree to every family they serve.”
The types of trees available to families depend on the region where they will be sent and are guaranteed to grow with a one-year replacement policy. Live trees are packaged in a 14″ recycleable plastic tube that can be easily turned into a birdfeeder.
