Why DNA?

DNA preservation has been a popular conversation as of late. Back in January we featured an article about Schoedinger Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio who is the first funeral home in their area to offer DNA preservation through the company DNA Memorial.

Most funeral professionals are still unclear about DNA preservation and why should they offer it or why a consumer would even want it. DNA Memorial, the company that developed a proprietary process of extracting DNA from non-invasive mouth swab or hair samples and binding the DNA to silica which can be stored at room temperature indefinitely, posted the below video to their Facebook Page last week. This video gives a few thought provoking examples of WHY DNA preservation makes sense.
