Blow. It. Up

In Cindy Gallop’s Twitter profile, she states “I like to blow sh*t up. I am the Michael Bay of business.” And that’s exactly what she’s done over the past few decades–blown away the competition for her clients such as Coca-Cola, Unilever and Levi’s–while also blowing up the traditional operations structure to maximize efficiency and innovation.

Cindy calls for smart businesses (like yours!) to stop doing the exact same things as its competitors in the same old ways. She warns that this is a dangerous phenomenon that allows true innovation to come from outside the industry, leaving you vulnerable to outside forces.

“We have to redesign the way we do business to make people love what we do,” she says. “We have to effectively blow up our business model and start again.” And it’s easier to do than it sounds.

She’ll outline the steps you need to take to “redesign your business in order to own your future” on Thursday, April 9, at the ICCFA Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas.

Watch Cindy talk about how an industry or company can own its future. Among the factors she’ll discuss:

  • Microactions
  • Embracing all sorts of diversity
  • Paying no attention to what people think of you
