Robby Bates Installed as President of the National Funeral Directors Association

Brookfield, Wis. – Robert L. “Robby” Bates, CFSP, CCO, of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas, was installed as president of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) during its 2013 International Convention & Expo, which took place October 20-23 in Austin, Texas.

 

Three individuals were elected by the NFDA House of Delegates and installed as officers during the Convention: President-elect Robert “Rob” C. Moore IV, CFSP, CCO, of Moore’s Home for Funerals in Wayne, N.J.; Treasurer Bob Arrington, CCO, of Arrington Funeral Directors in Jackson, Tenn.; and Secretary W. Ashley Cozine, CFSP, CPC, CCO, of Broadway Mortuary in Wichita, Kan. Each officer will serve a one-year term.

Additionally, Robert T. “Bob” Rosson Jr., CFSP, CPC, CCO, of Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, Miss., was installed as immediate past president of NFDA and will serve a one-year term. Scott B. Anthony, CFSP, CCO, of Anthony Funeral & Cremation Chapels in Webster N.Y., and Charles T. “Chuck” Bowman, CMSP, CFSP, CCO, of Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation in Denver, Colo., were installed as at-large representatives and will serve two-year terms of office.

 

At-large Representatives Randy Anderson, CFSP, CCO, of Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City, Ala., and Kenneth “Ken” Cahall, CFSP, CCO, of Cahall Funeral Homes Inc. in Georgetown, Ohio, will serve the second year of their two-year terms of office in 2013-14.
