Florida-based FSI Launches Tablet Application to Enhance Security and Efficiency of Trust-Funded Preneed Contract Sales

Funeral Services, Inc. (FSI), a preneed administration and contract record-keeper that has provided trust solutions to the death care industry, announced today that it developed an iPad application that streamlines the preneed contract sales process. The new app generates error-free, professional and compliant contracts for trust-funded preneed programs. From anywhere, funeral directors and preneed sales agents may upload contracts directly into PRISM, FSI’s proprietary record-keeping system.

“We understand that preneed contract sales can be a complicated and cumbersome process,” said Bill Williams, president/CEO of FSI. “One of our goals is to provide our clients with solutions to trust administration challenges so that funeral directors and preneed sales agents can better serve families as they make arrangements, many of whom are purchasing a preneed contract to avoid placing the emotional and economic burden of a funeral on their loved ones.”

While all FSI preneed funeral contracts are FTC compliant and contain a standardized Statement of Funeral Goods and Services, contracts may be customized to meet client needs including payment and preneed contract-related terms and conditions, and to state specific disclosures.

“As a consultant in this industry, I have seen many funeral homes become overwhelmed with the amount of paperwork and the processes required for compliance with federal and state regulations,” said Jim Atwood, primary consultant/CEO at Infinity Management Advisors, LLC and member of the FSI board of directors. “Through this app and other innovative software, FSI helps its clients save time and money while being certain their funds and information are safe.”

By uploading preneed contracts into PRISM, clients achieve faster web-based access to information about their preneed program clients so they can better manage this aspect of their business. PRISM provides online access to each client’s trust accounts, individual preneed contracts, trust transactions and monthly statements. FSI’s administration system is available for any type of contract including FSI’s specific preneed contracts or those that are customized to meet the needs of a client.

FSI will unveil the app at the 2013 National Funeral Directors Association Convention and Expo taking place in Austin, Texas Oct. 20-23, 2013. To see how this app streamlines the preneed contract sales process, visit the FSI at booth 2141 for a demonstration. Also at booth 2141, attendees can enter to win one of five prizes including an iPad.
