Brookfield, Wis. – The Funeral Service Foundation selected Kelly Manion as its new director of communications. In this newly created post, Manion will be responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of wide-ranging communication and messaging initiatives aligned with the foundation’s strategic plan.
Manion comes to the Funeral Service Foundation from Cardinal Stritch University (Milwaukee, Wis.) where she served as director of university events. Along side colleagues within Stritch’s advancement department, she helped create and implement values-driven events, and fundraising and marketing strategies in support of the university’s effort to respond to real needs within the community, and to secure a strong future for its students.
Prior to her time at Cardinal Stritch University, Manion held sales, marketing and volunteer management positions with Marcus Hotels and Resorts (Milwaukee, Wis.), Mission Point Resort (Mackinac Island, Mich.) and Ten Chimneys Foundation (Genesee Depot, Wis.).
“We’re pleased to welcome Kelly to the foundation and to funeral service. She brings with her a wide range of communication strategies and skills, and will be a tremendous asset as we work to steward our mission,” said FSF Executive Director Kathy Wisnefski. “Kelly is mission-driven and has a solid foundation of diplomacy, great attention to detail and creativity that will enable her to successfully deliver a clear and consistent message to our stakeholders.”
