Eagle’s Wings Air Offers To Ship Tsarnaev’s Body To Russia Free Of Charge

Frank Kaiser, president and CEO of Eagle’s Wings Air, said in a release Tuesday that his company is offering to facilitate the air transportation of the accused bomber’s remains out of the U.S. at no charge to the funeral home, Cambridge, or any taxpayers.

In a release from Eagle’s Wings Air:

“We recognize the challenges faced by Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors of Worcester, MA, the funeral home where the remains of Tamerlan Tsarnaev currently reside, and its funeral director, Mr. Peter Stefan, in finding a final resting place for the remains of Tamerlan Tsarnaev. At the same time, we empathize with the residents of Cambridge and surrounding communities and their objections to having Tsarnaev’s final resting place located near them,” reads Kaiser’s statement in-part.

Kaiser adds that many people believe Tsarnaev’s remains should be transported out of the country and back to Russia. He says his company will work alongside an international carrier to transport the remains because no U.S. flag carrier will likely be allowed to transport them.
