Passages International to Introduce a New Scattering Tube Design in 2013

Passages International recently invited its customers and other funeral professionals to participate in a contest to design artwork for a new scattering tube. A winner has been chosen and we are beginning production now. Both the winner and the new artwork design will be announced at the CANA Marketing Symposium in Las Vegas next February.

Passages pioneered the Scatter Tube concept and was the first to introduce it to funeral professionals. The Tubes are designed and engineered to simplify the scattering process. They are durable, dignified and easy to use because they feature a removable lid and industry-first, perforated “push-in” tab, to easily open the tube prior to use.

The new scattering tube will be available to funeral professionals in the spring of 2013. It is truly unique and will be the perfect addition to the existing tube designs. Scattering tubes are very popular with families who want to scatter the cremated remains of a loved one over land or water. This new design will provide families with options that are not currently available with other tube designs.

“We are really excited about this new tube. We have considered this type of design for some time and the contest submission, along with valuable input from our judges confirms that this will be widely accepted by funeral professionals, and most importantly by the families,” says Passages’ President, Darren Crouch. “The functionality, uniqueness, affordability and eco-friendly nature of the tubes are only part of the attraction to families. The design and overall appeal are also very important. Passages also wants to express its gratitude to the funeral professional judges who took time out of their busy schedules to evaluate the entries and cast their votes,” says Crouch.

The contest winner is receiving a roundtrip airfare and registration to the CANA Marketing Symposium in Las Vegas along with two nights’ hotel accommodations and a free case of the new Scattering Tube.
