HOUSTON – (September 4, 2012) – Service Corporation International (SCI) is pleased to announce the company’s National Scholarship Program will award $52,500 in scholarships to students currently enrolled in one of the 56 accredited mortuary colleges in the U.S.
All new for 2013, SCI will award fifteen $3,000 scholarships and fifteen $500 scholarships to selected finalists. To be considered, students are asked to submit a written essay and video expressing their personal views on a number of topics relating to the funeral industry. Thirty finalists will travel to Houston, March 13 – 15, 2013, to meet with a distinguished group of advisory board members and company leaders who will then evaluate the candidates and allocate the awards to the 30 winners.
All travel arrangements and expenses will be provided for finalists by SCI. Interested applicants should go to www.scischolarships.com
