Courageous Keynote Speakers Will Inspire NFDA Convention Attendees

Brookfield, Wis. – The keynote speakers for the 2012 National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) International Convention & Expo will inspire and entertain attendees with their incredible stories of overcoming obstacles to reach the peaks of the world’s highest mountains and entertain millions of viewers on The Tonight Show. The NFDA Convention will take place October 7-10 in Charlotte, N.C.

Allison Levine, “PEAKonomics: Success Strategies From the Seven Summits” (Opening General Session, Monday, October 8, 10 a.m.)

Born with a grave heart condition, Allison Levine has undergone three heart surgeries and overcome insurmountable odds to become one of fewer than 30 people in the world to complete the Adventure Grand Slam – climbing the Seven Summits (the highest mountain peak on each continent) and skiing to the North and South Poles. Whether she is climbing Mount Everest or teaching at West Point, Levine knows how leadership, teamwork, determination, tenacity and the ability to adapt to a changing environment are as critical in a business as they are on the mountain. Levine will share her commitment and leadership philosophies to help attendees achieve extreme results.

Mack Dryden, “Laugh to the Top: A Hilarious Guide to Achieving Your Goals” (Closing General Session, Wednesday, October 10, noon)

Known as the funniest two-time cancer survivor who survived an African prison, Mack Dryden will take you on an inspirational – and hilarious – journey of harrowing survival and overcoming adversity. Dryden has appeared on many television shows, including The Tonight Show with both Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, has acted in several movies, and has written for Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher. He’s sure to have you laughing as he shares his proven and practical seven-step formula that will inspire attendees to achieve more.
