Batesville Employees Talk About Job Cuts and Decline in Product Quality

In the below video Fox 19 News in Indiana talks to 2 Batesville employees who learned their jobs were being cut in March. It is apparent that they are emotionally upset but what is surprising is how quickly the female employee (identity was protected) starts to bad mouth the Batesville product. She says since the Hillenbrand family has left the company, quality and service have gone down hill. She even goes as far as saying when you touch the product it falls apart.

Of course these comments have to be taken with a grain of salt when they are coming from a unhappy employee, but is there truth in what she is saying? I am not a funeral director and I don’t own a funeral home, so I don’t get to see a lot of Batesville product or experience their service. My question is to those of you that use Batesville or at one time used Batesville; are the statements made by this worker true? Have you experienced a decline in product quality and service?
