Discussion – "How Does Your Firm Handle First Responders?"

I am currently in Bermuda giving a presentation on Social Media in Funeral Service at the Annual Wilbert Manufacturers Association meeting and the topic of First Responders was brought up. There was a great discussion amongst the 131 licenses represented at the meeting. There was even a police officer from Detroit, Michigan who spoke about how their department handles First Responders and all the training and details that go into making sure the death of an officer killed in the line of duty is handle respectfully and to perfection.

The question was raised by one of the Wilbert licensees about how funeral homes handle the death of First Responders (killed in the line of duty). Do you charge for your services? Are product (casket, vault, urn, urn vault) donated by the supplier and the funeral home?

Please share how your firm handles the death of First Responders.
