Are States Funeral Home Regulations too Strict?

A few weeks ago the state of Connecticut created quite an uprising when it announced that due to budget cut backs it was going to stop regulating funeral homes in the state.

Less than a week after the announcement the state retracted it?s statement and said they would still be overseeing funeral home regulations. Many think the retraction was due to concerns voiced by thousands.

There was quite a discussion about this topic on the site in the comments of each article. Some readers totally against the end of regulation others think that some states regulate to much, and then there are some states that don?t regulate enough.

The discussion question we want to pose this week is: Are the regulations states put on funeral homes to strict or not strict enough?
