Carriage Services Expanding with Acquisition

Houston — Carriage Services, Inc. (NYSE: CSV) announced today that it has acquired Don Grantham Funeral Home, Inc. in Duncan, Oklahoma. Jim and Mike Grantham, the former owners, represent the third generation of Grantham family members to operate the business since its founding in 1925 by their grandparents. Under the stewardship of Jim and Mike, the business has grown into a market leader in Duncan where they currently provide approximately 250 services a year. Carriage is pleased to announce that the Granthams will continue to be actively involved in the business. With this acquisition, and in conjunction with existing operations in Oklahoma, Carriage continues its strategy of expanding its footprint in attractive traditional markets.

J. Bradley Green, Executive Vice President, Strategic Development of Carriage, stated, “We are excited to add the Grantham business to our portfolio. The reputation that Jim and Mike have built within the local community will be a tremendous asset for us and we are thrilled that they are going to stay involved with the business. Carriage’s strength has always been its people and the dedication and professionalism they bring to their craft and community. Jim and Mike personify those qualities that have made Carriage a preferred choice for family succession among deathcare consolidation companies. As always, we will continue the standard of service, excellence, and reputation for which Don Grantham Funeral Home is known.”
