Growing the scholarship fund is a high priority for us here at the AWFP, and we’ve got a number of ways to get you involved. The most recent opportunity to contribute to the scholarship fund is to purchase a copy of 101 Great Ways to Enhance Your Career, which was released just yesterday. I was asked to contribute a chapter, and was delighted to write for the publisher, David and Michelle Riklan of SelfGrowth.com, a world-leader in self-improvement and personal growth.

I’m in great company: Laura DeCarlo, Brian Tracy, Tory Johnson…the list of authors goes on and on. The book is well-over 300 pages of valuable, career building tools and strategies. If you buy a copy through SelfGrowth, you’ll get lots of wonderful bonuses too, graciously contributed by the authors and publishers. In fact, SelfGrowth contributed one career coaching session with a SelfGrowth.com partner coach! That’s an amazing bonus.

4 Social Media Mistakes Death Care Companies Are Making (and How to Fix Them)

Ryan Thogmartin - August 22, 2017

On one hand, there's always something new to learn and try. However, not everything makes sense when it comes to marketing death care companies. We've watched many funeral organizations lose focus on strategy due to the bright and shiny nature of the new tactics that pop up. Tactics come in all shapes, sizes and value levels. Some are new features that are useful and others can be 'shortcuts' that ultimately lead us in the wrong direction. Recent conversations got us thinking, so we wanted to talk about some social media marketing mistakes we see death care companies make, and how they can fix them.
