imageAs most of you know Ryan Thogmartin, our fearless leader, was involved in a fatal car accident on August 4th, 2010. Ryan was hit head on by a young girl who went left of center. It was just determined last week from an investigation that the girl who hit Ryan was texting at the time of the accident. Ryan suffered a broken right femur in 3 places and was out of the office for over 2 months.

Ryan was able to make it to the NFDA Convention in New Orleans with the help of his little brother Philip. It was also at the NFDA convention where Ryan was pinned with the nickname “Scooter”. Since the accident Ryan has been recovering very slow. He is now walking with only one crutch and is expected to be able to ditch that crutch in the coming days. Ryan is in physical therapy 3 times a week and is projected to make a full recovery by February 2011.

Below is a video update from Ryan where he also talks about some updates with ConnectingDirectors.com.

Funeral Homes are Struggling to Keep Their Doors Open

Ryan Thogmartin - August 13, 2017

This is a topic and conversation that does not get talked about or covered enough. We all want to put the blame on cremation and ignore the fact that many of the issues facing funeral homes aren't because families choose cremation but because of bad business decisions of many funeral directors who don't want to change or accept cremation.
